Mount Madonna School (MMS) is a diverse community dedicated to creative, intellectual and ethical growth. We support our students to become caring, self-aware, discerning and articulate individuals. We believe a fulfilling life includes personal accomplishments, meaningful relationships and service to society, and to be stewards of the environment.

MMS’ 40+ year long program continues its commitment of fostering global citizenship

by bringing our students to understand different cultures and values beginning in elementary school with our month long cultural awareness celebrations and culminating with our Values in World Thought curriculum for juniors and seniors. Recognizing that global citizenship encompasses a deep respect for the environment, MMS educates all students preschool through twelfth on how actions big and small can have an immense impact worldwide.   Many of our alumni have gone on to become leaders of change working to further improvements societally and environmentally both locally and globally.  To illuminate our students' and alumni work, MMS has turned to the framework of the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

Inspired by the work of the UN SDGs, MMS is proud to offer both a speaker series that highlights the very important work of our alumni, as well as to launch an ongoing interactive dashboard that maps our students' efforts towards the pursuit of these goals.

Mount Madonna School SDG Dashboard:
We envision creating an interactive database that will measure and and be a visual representation of our students’ contributions to the global sustainable development goals. The dashboard will provide a platform for our students to showcase their work and the impact of their actions - inspiring a lifelong passion of thinking globally and acting locally.
